Chip Kelly has made a flurry of moves since seasons end, and shocked the football world again when he signed Tim Tebow to a one-year deal.
With critics and skeptics raging about Kelly being a crazy, egomanicac — Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich warned people to relax because Kelly has a plan.
“I think it’s unfortunate that I’ve had to answer this question more than once: Chip Kelly is not insane,” Helfrich, who was the offensive coordinator under Kelly with the Ducks for four seasons, told The Oregonian on Monday.
“No, he’s got a plan. He’s got a method.”
Since the end of last season, the Eagles also have lost or gotten rid of quarterback Nick Foles, running back LeSean McCoy, receiver Jeremy Maclin, offensive lineman Todd Herremans and defensive end Trent Cole.
They’ve also replaced them with some really good players as well.
