Atlanta Hawks All-Star forward Paul Millsap suffered a right shoulder sprain and contusion and has already been announced out of the Hawks games on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Millsap suffered the injury in the Hawks 131-99 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Millsap is having one of the best seasons of his career, leading the Hawks with 16.8 points per game and 7.8 rebounds. This latest injury just adds to the growing pessimism about the Hawks ability to remain elite in the playoffs. The Hawks already have an undersized front-court, and will need all hands on deck, at 100 percent if they want to achieve their goal of making the NBA finals.
INJURY UPDATE: Paul Millsap has a right shoulder sprain & contusion and will not play Tuesday or Wednesday.
