Everyone is guilty of saying things they wish they hadn’t in the heat of the moment, however, Cincinatti Reds manager Bryan Price’s recent tirade of the media may take the cake.
Price attacked Cincinnati Enquirer beat reporter C. Trent Rosecrans today in a explicit rant, sparked by the newspaper’s report that Reds all-star catcher, Devin Mesoraco wasn’t in attendance Sunday during the team’s loss in St. Louis.
Deadspin has a transcript of the tongue lashing:
If you remove the curse words you can actually empathize with Price. It puts clubs at a huge disadvantage to need to divulge sensitive info about players and their issues, and it does make a manager’s job more difficult. Good argument, bad delivery.
