The Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre are officially married again with the team going all out for the retirement of Brett Favre’s number.
According to the Journal Sentinel, the Packers are scheduled to play the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Night at Lambeau Field — where they will place Favre’s number on the facade inside Lambeau Field.

As for the Favre game, he Packers not only will get a huge boost for a game against the rival Bears, the NFL will get an equal one for a primetime game (on NBC) that is the night-cap of a holiday tripleheader.
ESPN.com was the first to report that the Packers would play the Bears on Thanksgiving night at Lambeau Field.
The Packers have been looking for the right game to place Favre’s number on the ring of Lambeau Field. They will officially retire his number and induct him into the Packers Hall of Fame on July 18.
Packers president Mark Murphy said last week before the team’s tailgate tour that the club had made some requests to the league for possible match-ups that would work for the Favre number retirement. The Packers have been playing every other year in a Thanksgiving Day game since 2007, but it has always been in Detroit.
