Long-term NBA executive Rod Thorn is planning to retire from the NBA in August. Thorn NBA career consist of 8 years as General Manager of the Chicago Bulls; 14 years as NBA’s Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations; 10 years as New Jersey Nets General Manager; 2 years as General Manger of the Philadelphia 76ers. In 2013 Rod return to the NBA as President of Basketball Operations under commissioner Adam Silver.
Reports indicted that Kiki Vandeweghe as a potential front runner for the job.
