The wrist injury heard all around Texas has finally been addressed.
Late last seasons, a few sports media personalities got into trouble for reporting that Trevone Boykin would miss the remainder of TCU’s season with a wrist injury.
Boykin never missed anytime and all was well. The TCU star underwent surgery on Thursday to address an injured bone in his left, non-throwing wrist, reports David Ubben of Fox Sports.
Boykin will miss the Horned Frogs’ spring game, which is scheduled for April 10, but will be “ready to go” by May 1, according to coach Gary Patterson.
“Everything is great,” TCU coach Gary Patterson told FOX Sports Southwest on Thursday. “Minor surgery so no worries.”
As a junior last season, Boykin completed 301 of his 492 pass attempts for a a school-record 3,901 yards and 33 touchdowns while adding 707 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
