Charles Barkley was a guest on ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption on Wednesday. Of course, a question that was asked was how Barkley felt about NBA players bringing their kids to the postgame press conference, since the talk of the day has been Steph Curry’s daughter, Riley.
When Mike Wilbon asked if Barkley had strong feelings about players bringing their kids to the podium, this was his reply:
“Well, the kids are adorable, and you know I hate social media. I think you guys know that. I think that’s where losers go to feel important. I do. I use zero social media. I will say this though. I think that you have to be careful taking your kids to press conferences because those guys are actually there to ask questions to put it on television and put it in the print media. And I think they’re trying to do their job. I know your kid is cute and everything, but those guys aren’t there to see your kids make faces and move around. They’re actually trying to get to their deadlines. So I can understand both parts of it, but I would prefer personally if they wouldn’t bring their kids. Because the media…they’re trying to do their job. They’re not trying to see how cute your kid is.”
Barkley certainly never minds sharing his opinions, even if it’s the unpopular one.
