Entourage creator, Doug Ellin is steaming mad at Eli Manning, and he’s airing his grievances via the media.
In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Ellin ripped Manning for blowing off a cameo in the movie, and says he wished Russell Wilson was the Giants quarterback.
“I love the Giants so much,” Ellin told Graham Bensinger in a recent interview, “but if (Seahawks star) Russell Wilson was the quarterback of the Giants, I would be a much happier person.”
Ellin says that Eli personally reached out and said he would love to appear in the movie. Ellin says he took him at his word and wrote the Giants QB into a scene and sent off the script.
At that point, he never heard from Manning again.
“I was going crazy,” Ellin said as he desperately tried to reach Eli. Call after call went unanswered. “Beyond frustrating,” he said.
Ellin says Tom Brady saved the day.
“(Brady) was just awesome,” Ellin gushed while taking a not-so subtle shot at Eli. “He was easy to work with and was happy to be there. We called him for the movie and he showed up the same way.”
Ellin said he never did hear from Eli about why he gave the “Entourage” invite the silent treatment. He said he finally heard from Eli’s agent that the QB just wanted to focus on football.
“I kind of went crazy,” Ellin recalled, “and said, ‘no, I don’t understand’. He works hard. I work hard. I didn’t call him, he called me.”
