Stuff hit the fan for FIFA and its alleged world of corruption today when US Attorney General Loretta Lynch filed charges against 14 people, including 9 former and current FIFA officials. And if you can’t possibly grasp the egregious level of fraudulent activities, check out how former executive Chuck Blazer housed his cats.
New York City’s Chuck Blazer, a former member of the FIFA Executive Committee and general secretary of CONCACAF, used his position to enrich himself to the tune of millions of dollars — and this paragraph below, one supposes, pretty much sums up what he was up to.
As head of CONCACAF, Blazer set up his offices in New York’s Trump Tower: with a special addition.
CONCACAF’S offices took up the entire 17th floor, but Blazer often worked from two apartments where he lived on the 49th floor in $18,000-per-month digs for himself and an adjoining $6,000 retreat largely for his unruly cats, according to a source.
Yes, you read that right. Bad cats lived better than the majority of the people in the world.
Blazer is now the main informant for the US in their case against the corrupt FIFA executives.
