Willie Monroe showed a lot of heart.
I’m torn between giving credit to Monroe and wondering if GGG was more reckless because he knew Monroe couldn’t hurt him. Possibly, a combination of both, but whatever the case it led to a very good fight in the Forum in LA.
GGG wants a big fight, but likely will have to wait until 2016. Mayweather and Cotto have no interest in fighting him. Andre Ward is fighting on BET and brings little money to the table. Canelo would fight him, but wants Cotto first because of the revenue it can generate.
Unlike Canelo who is young or Cotto/Mayweather who are established stars, GGG is in his 30s and wants big fights while he is still in his prime. Unfortunately, he will be forced to fight Andy Lee or David Lemieux in the near future.
But, when The Big Drama show fights, it will be an event as he is a joy to watch and his post fight interviews are even better.
