When I wrote the article about how to get girls in Vegas by pretending to be on The Money Team, most people thought I was kidding.
I was not…..
These guys absolutely read my article and executed it to perfection.
Two Essex men dressed as members of Floyd Mayweather’s entourage managed to blag their way in to ringside seats to watch the world champion triumph over rival Manny Pacquiao.
Ifran Ahmed, 29, and Chris Stowe, 30, donned Mayweather tracksuits and baseball hats to sneak past security and enjoy seats worth up to £650,000 in the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
The pair rubbed shoulders with a host of A-list stars from the likes of popstars Nicole Scherzinger and Justin Bieber to actors Mark Wahlberg and Verne Troyer after gaining ringside access.
The friends also partied with rapper Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs and British singer Sting in the MGM Grand Garden Arena after fooling everyone into thinking they were part of 38-year-old Mayweather’s team.
As Mayweather’s entourage passed the pair while walking towards the ring ahead of the boxing match, they latched onto the back of the group.
Mr Ahmed, a ‘professional autograph hunter’ from Braintree, Essex, said the pair had bought some seats ‘on the cheap’ but dressed up in tracksuits to look like part of the Money Man’s entourage to get a better view and receive celebrity treatment.
They said they ‘hung out with Bieber for ages’ and even hugged the 21-year-old singer when Mayweather was announced as the winner.
Mr Stowe, a property developer from Romford, Essex, added to The Sun: ‘He just thought we were part of The Money Team.’
‘There was about four other people there already with their accreditation badges around their necks – so I just walked through and evaded security,’ he said.
‘I just waited outside their dressing rooms and just avoided eye contact with anyone. Manny was the first one to come out and I took a photo with him.
‘He was really nice considering he had just lost the biggest fight of his career. Nobody was asking who I was so I just stuck around and waited for Floyd to come out.
‘He was really cool and had a huge entourage. I asked him for a photograph and also an autograph and I was walking with him.
‘He said it was okay to walk along with him, but he had to go do an interview right then.
‘The MGM security said I had no accreditation on, but he said “I got him” and said it was fine, he said “just leave him, don’t worry it’s fine”.
‘He said I could come and watch the press conference so the MGM guy had to just leave it and he said ‘don’t worry, I’ve got you’.’
Mr Carruthers, who has now flown to LA for three weeks, added: ‘After the interview he was like “let’s go do the photos outside”.
‘I got one and I was going to leave it but he got security to take quite a few photos. He was really, really nice.’
Bravo gentleman, BRAVO….
