JR Smith on LeBron-MJ Debate: If It’s Not Jordan, It’s Him

A funny thing happens when you’re teammates as opposed to adversaries. Earlier we heard Kendrick Perkins basically hand LeBron James the GOAT status as long as he won a couple more NBA titles. Now comes JR Smith’s turn.

Smith and LeBron have warmed up nicely since teaming up in Cleveland, and now JR shares his opinion on whether LeBron really is King James.

“That’s one hell of a debate,” Smith said, per Haynes. “Honestly, in my opinion, if it’s not Jordan, then it’s him. It used to be no question. It was a landslide. It was Jordan. Now, you have to consider my boy.”

You can totally feel the bromance in Cleveland, but it’s good that JR and Perkins are rallying behind LeBron so heavily.
