Michael Sam is apparently taking his talents to the frigid north of the Canadian Football League, per Jason La Canfora. Sam spent parts of last season in the NFL in training camp for the St. Louis Rams, before ultimately being released at final roster cuts. Sam then spent more than a month on the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys. Montreal has owned Sam’s rights since last year and were just waiting around for him to decide if he wanted to join the team. Sam signed this morning, making his addition to the Alouettes official.
