After Brian Windhorst and Skip Bayless felt the need to complain about the distractions caused by the adorability of some of these kids; the NBA has decided to issue a statement regarding their policy on post-game press conferences.
NBA Sr. VP of Communications Tim Frank who tells us there is no current policy against players bringing their kids to the podium … and there are no plans to change it, despite the criticism.
The issue initially arose after players like Derrick Rose and Steph Curry decided to bring their kids with them during press conferences after the game. Apparently, some people found that it was just too dang distracting for writers to ask their questions.
These reporters sometimes need a reminder that they’re covering a GAME for their job. Sometimes its not all about them, its about the kids.
Anyway, good for the NBA. Those press conferences usually don’t yield any interesting information, anyway.
