Everett Golson is pretty familiar with Alabama after being on the receiving end of a beat down in the National Championship game a few years ago, but since now the former Notre Dame signal caller is looking for a new home there seems to be some interest from Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
Alabama would take QB Everett Golson but skeptical SEC would grant waiver, source told @ESPN

Alabama is still trying to figure out who will be the trigger man under center this fall, so there interest in Golson makes sense as they try to make another run for the College Football Playoff.
The one hangup with Golson to Alabama is that the SEC isn’t very fond of graduate transfers, so both parties would have to get a waiver from the conference in order for the marriage to happen. We saw what Lane Kiffin was able to do with Blake Sims last year with limited time, so there is no reason to think he couldn’t do the same with Golson if he makes his way to Tuscaloosa.
