It’s very interesting to see a coaches named linked to a new job that’s not even vacant. Coach Tom Thibodeau name has been on the hot seat since about mid-season and even though he has made it known he plans to coach the Bulls next season, more rumors are starting to circulate that say other wise. Golden State Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry name has now surfaced as the favorite to replace coach Thibodeau according to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report.
Didn't get this into today's story, but plugged-in source considers Alvin Gentry the favorite to coach Bulls. "The guy I'd put my money on."

Maybe this could be the spark the Bulls need to get over the hump. They have a very talented team and should be in positions to compete for a title again next year. Gentry was fired midway through the 2012-2013 season as the coach of the Phoenix Sun but maybe ready for a new head coaching gig after spending a couple of seasons on the Warriors and Clippers coaching staff.
The Bulls had several five and six-minute long scoring droughts during their series with the Cavs which could be easily fixed with Gentry’s coaching style. He focuses on flow and continuity with the offense something the Bulls often lacked under Thibodeau.
