Frank Isola of the New York Daily News believes Dwyane Wade could be headed for bigger pastures if he leaves the Miami Heat.
Perhaps hoping to profit off of Madison Avenue — or spending more time with his wife in Hollywood — Wade could bolt Miami for the Clippers or Knicks in search of more money.
Only New York can offer the cash he’s looking for.
If Dwyane Wade does the unexpected and leaves Miami he could end up in one of two places; Los Angeles (Clippers) or New York.
For Wade to join the Clippers and his good buddy Chris Paul it would take some creativity since the Clippers are over the salary cap. The Knicks and Carmelo Anthony have the cap space but would Wade want to join a team that won 17 games last season?
After giving the Heat financial flexibility in recent years to sign, among others LeBron James, the All-Star guard is looking for a big pay day. The biggest drawback is that Wade will turn 34 next season and hasn’t played more than 70 games since the 2010-11 season. He’s missed 48 games over the last two seasons.
I struggle to see Wade leaving the Heat, but why not take your talents to New York, get paid and Jack up shots with Melo.
