I don’t think Chip Kelly really wants Riley Cooper coming to his rescue, but if anybody can sense a racist, it’s probably the Eagles wide receiver.
Kelly made it clear on Thursday to anyone listening, that “he’s not a racist,” but just a coach who wants players that buy into his program.
Cooper echoed those comments, saying the criticism of Kelly is upsetting.
“It’s definitely difficult and upsetting for sure,” Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper said, via Bob Grotz of the Delaware County Times. “I know [Kelly is] not like that.
Two years ago Cooper faced even worse scrutiny when he hurled a racial slur at an African-American security guard during a Kenny Chesney concert.
