After a change in voting that including voting inside the Madden ’15 MUT game, the final 4 has now been cut to 2.
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski were named the finalists for the Madden NFL ’16 cover vote. That means that sorry Pittsburgh receiver Antonio Brown and Arizona cornerback Patrick Peterson, but you won’t be on the cover just yet, and that means that the Steelers and Cardinals fan base can breathe as they avoid the dreaded Madden Cover Curse.
Beckham had 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Giants in his first season. Gronkowski had 82 receptions for 1,124 yards and 12 TDs for the Super Bowl champion Patriots.
Voting continues as you can vote on the EA Sports and ESPN website.
The winner will be revealed during a special 4 p.m. May 13 edition of “SportsCenter” on ESPN. Madden ’16 will be released on August 25.
