Miller took a plea deal to stay out of jail, but the 49ers have no plans to release him. Miller was accused of striking his fiancee, knocking her to the ground and breaking her cell phone in March.
His plea deal will include 16 weeks of Domestic Violence counseling and he can’t see his fiancee for 6 months.
Here is what the 49ers had to say via SI.
“The 49ers organization is aware of today’s proceedings involving Bruce Miller,” general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement, according to the Mercury News. “Bruce knows what we expect of him as a member of this team and he has committed to taking the necessary steps to grow from this experience.”
The no domestic violence tolerance seems to vary from team to team and player to player, no word on if he will be disciplined by the NFL.
