Adrien Broner: Mayweather Is Teaching Me A Lot

Premier Boxing Champions returns to NBC next Saturday night, when Adrien “The Problem” Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) collides in an interesting bout, with “Showtime” Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs) in a welterweight fight taking place at 144-pounds at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Broner has moved his camp to the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas – which is owned by WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The two are good friends — with Mayweather serving as the mentor/big brother for Broner. Both men are advised by manager Al Haymon (who advises Porter as well).

No longer the next Mayweather — Broner just wants to learn from TBE. Broner talked to Boxing Scene about what it is that Mayweather is passing on to him during this intense training camp.

“I love [training at the Mayweather Boxing Club]. With Floyd Mayweather in there, he’s teaching me a lot. You know, he’s teaching me. We talk all day. He comes to watch me train all the time,” Broner said.

Broner also addressed it on his IG page as well.

We’ll see if ‘The Problem’ really is focused enough to take that next step.
