For one night in 2001, the Philadelphia 76ers were the best team in the NBA. Allen Iverson led a defensive minded Sixers team to the NBA Finals to face off against the juggernaut known as the L.A. Lakers.
If only Vine or the other famous social media platforms were readily available on that.
The internet may have broken after Iverson hit Lue with a filthy crossover and stepback, before finishing him off by stepping over him in front of the Lakers bench.
Iverson was the MVP, had already exploded for 38 in the first three quarters, but was slowed by Lue, who helped hold A.I. to four points in the final 22 minutes. You thought LeBron’s 44 in game one was impressive — how bout Iverson finishing that night with 48 points, five rebounds, six assists, five steals, three turnovers, 18-41 FG, 3-8 3PT, 9-9 FT, 52 minutes.
