With limited cap space and trade assets, the Los Angeles Clippers don’t have many options when it comes to upgrading a roster that just blew a 3-1 series lead against the Houston Rockets. The only moves they are going to be able to swing are trades or signings that bring in a high-risk, high-reward talent.
Well, if you’re going to go high-risk, you might as well go as high-risk as possible. According the all-powerful WOJ, Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski, the Clips are in talks wit the Charlotte Hornets to acquire oft-troubled, sometimes-spectacular Lance Stephenson.

The trade would send Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes to Charlotte for Stephenson’s rights according to Woj.
It will be extremely interesting to see how this works for the Clips if said trade does go through. Stephenson is only 24 and was nearly an All-Star just two seasons ago. He could really propel the Clippers into title contention.. or submarine them down the Western Conference standings.
