The L.A. Clippers wanted to improve their roster after a second round playoff knock out. So they made something happen. Nobody knows if it will work though just yet.
The Clippers will get Lance Stephenson from the Hornets and will send Charlotte Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes. Matt Barnes is in his final year of his contract and is owed $3.5 million. According to Yahoo it is unlikely he will stay with Hornets. Hawes signed a FA deal in 2014 and has $17 million due to him over the next 3 years.
Hopefully the Clippers plan to use Stephenson as a second string role, but he will have to prove that he can make an impact after struggling with Charlotte.
