Sean Lee’s 2014 season with the Dallas Cowboys never really happened. The season ended before it even started. Lee tore his ACL during the first week of OTS’s causing him to miss the entire season but the injury didn’t come as a surprise to Lee.
Lee is currently on the road to recovery and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2015 season with no limitations. Lee told Todd Archer of ESPN that he was surprised seeing that he had played thought a slight tear for years.
“I always knew it was a matter of time before that thing probably went. I played on a pretty torn ACL for a couple of years. That’s what the main injury was with me coming in. The right (knee) was fine. But when I came back for the fifth year at Penn State, the third game in, I partially tore it. I took off about three games then played with it. It would shift every once in a while.”
Lee also shared that his knee should shift a couple of time during the season but the further he fit away from the injury the less it would shift.
Sean Lee’s is the leader of the defense and his production even while fighting through and injury plagued 4 season has been pretty impressive. Sean Lee could really help the Cowboys who have added several pieces if he can stay on the field.
