All Geno Smith has to do is win, and he might be able to win over the rough New York fans. The Jets starting quarterback was hit with boo’s on Sunday from New York Yankees fans, who weren’t impressed with his visit to the illustrious Yankees Stadium.
Smith was greeted with boos when he was shown on the jumbotron as he attended the Yankees’ 6-2 win over the Angels in the Bronx. He offered a terse “no comment” when asked about Colon’s remarks during the seventh inning.
When asked if he felt any added pressure because of the remarks, the signal-caller just shook his head.
Smith has refused to answer questions regarding comments Willie Colon made, about “Smith not crashing the Porsche.”
“We bought the Porsche; we’ve given him the keys; he can’t crash it,” Colon said during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio last week. “Bottom line, he can’t crash it. We need him to be on top of his game. We’re doing everything we can as an offensive line to make him comfortable back there.”
Besides the addition of Brandon Marshall, I’m still trying to locate all these fabulous new weapons Smith has at his disposal.
