Brittney Griner wants her marriage to Glory Johnson annulled. She says she was pressured into it and she has no biological attachment to the baby Glory is now carrying. She goes on to say there was some deception in the relationship and with the pregnancy. She implies she had no idea that Johnson was even pregnant or how it happened.
Glory Johnson has decided to speak out to defend herself to The Grio.
“At no stage was Brittney pressured to undertake the fertility process,” Johnson’s statement said, in opposition to Griner’s claim that she did not know how long Johnson had been pregnant. “In fact, throughout the entire process, Brittney was a willing participant, consenting and signing all the necessary documents that needed to be signed in order to move forward with the treatments.”
“In addition, while we may have both had our reservations, we both willfully and joyfully walked down the aisle together and decided to get married,” Johnson said in response to Griner’s claim that the marriage was made under duress.
A couple of lessons to be learned here, don’t get engaged after you have only dated for a month or so. Secondly, definitely don’t get someone pregnant (willingly or unknowingly) that you aren’t sure you want to have a baby with.
If Griner indeed signed legal documents, that could mean in a court of law she will be seen as the father of the child and could be sued for child support.
Someone is lying, I guess we’ll know soon enough.
