Despite having some interesting and inflammatory remarks about his former head coach Chip Kelly, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy wants everyone to know that he is done talking about the incident, despite continuing to talk about it today.
Here are some quotes from McCoy courtesy of PFT:
Via Mike Rodak of ESPN.com, McCoy didn’t do a particularly good job putting the comments to rest, after initially saying: “I have nothing more to say about it. … I’m done talking about it.”
When asked a follow up, which is what happens when you make such an explosive charge, McCoy apparently confronted a reporter, saying: “Did you hear what I said?”
He also mixed in a “Y’all listening to me?” and threatened to end the interview if the questions about Kelly continued.
They did of course, adding: “I never regret nothing I say,” and that he didn’t think he caused a distraction.
“I don’t have to explain myself to nobody,” he said. “I don’t. I said what I said about what I felt at the time and I’m done with that.”
Shady may not want to discuss any further, but these questions are going to continue to get asked whether he likes it or not. Anytime you are bold enough to say something like that about a coach, you should be man enough to answer questions about it.
I still find it interesting that McCoy refused to take Kelly’s calls about the comments after the fact. If you are going to say something like that, be man enough to say it to the man’s face.
