Bad news for the Marlins. Star slugger, Giancarlo Stanton, has reportedly broken a bone in his hand. Stanton was feeling pain in the hand on Friday night against the Dodgers, and x-rays confirmed the break.
Stanton signed a 13-year $325 million deal with the Marlins in the offseason, a deal that is very unlike what the Marlins organization is known for doing. Now Stanton will miss significant time due to the injury.
UPDATE: Tim Kurkjian reports that Giancarlo Stanton will miss 4-6 weeks with broken bone in left hand.
