Mo’ne Davis has had an amazing year, and it just got better.
On Tuesday, the Harlem Globetrotters held their ninth annual player draft. The team selects a class of players from all over the world of sports to represent the iconic team.
Among the players drafted by the Globetrotters was Philadelphia’s own Mo’ne Davis.
“When we conduct our draft, we look for outstanding athletes from different sports all over the world that exemplify the Globetrotters’ efforts to provide service, smiles and sportsmanship globally,” Sweet Lou Dunbar, the Globetrotters’ director of player personnel, said.
Davis has some serious hoop skills, and hopes to one day play for the UConn Huskies. The Globetrotters announced that they will be exercising what they call a “Future Discovery Clause,” to obtain Davis’ rights when she graduates college.
