A video has surfaced of Michael Jordan taking on a young Chicago Bulls guard in 1999. This was shortly after Jordan had retired from the Bulls in 1998. That same year The Bulls drafted Corey Benjamin out of Oregon State. It appears that Benjamin must have felt he was the heir to the throne and challenged Jordan to a game of 1 on 1. Jordan being Jordan always accepts challenges and proceeded to embarrass the young man in front of the Bulls team. Young Metta World Peace and Elton Brand can be seen looking on in awe as Jordan nails every shot and locks down Benjamin. My favorite part is that Jordan had on joggers and not gym shorts. Like when your pops comes home and proceeds to school you in the driveway to show it’s still his house.
I’m not sure what would cause anyone to think they could take on a freshly retired MJ. He just won the NBA finals MVP in 1998. Benjamin only lasted 3 season in the NBA, his mouth being much bigger than his talent apparently.
