President Obama is an avid sports fan and alway shows love for his home team. He’s all about #TeamChicago no matter the sport. When asked who would win the Stanley Cup Finals, he quickly shouted out the Chicago Blackhawk, suggesting that they would win over the Lightning. When asked about the NBA Finals, he tipped-toed around his answer to avoid making a prediction.
“Too close to call it right now. I think both teams are playing incredible basketball, LeBron is playing unbelievable, but Steph Curry, even though he’s has a couple of bad games, I’ve met him, he’s a wonderful young man, a deserving MVP. My sense is he’s going to pick it back up. So who knows, but I’m sure enjoying watching it.”
I think President Obama feels the Cavs will win but is a little tight after his hometown Bulls didn’t show so well against the Cavs. He gave plenty of praise to Steph Curry, deservedly so, but wouldn’t pick the Warriors to win the series. To me that says a lot. One thing he was right about is that these NBA Finals are very entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
