After only one year at Duke and winning a National Title, point guard Tyus Jones declared himself eligible for the NBA draft. His stock was high, ranked as the No. 14 prospect by DraftExpress but his weakness has shown up again. Jones dealt with back injuries from time to time while at Duke and they have come back to the surface.
According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, Tyus was pulled out of workouts after suffering a back injury. Jones was working out with the Houston Rockets when this injury occurred, one of the team listed to be interested in Jones. The Rockets had issues at the point guard positions all season due to injuries. It might not be wise to add another point guard who has lingering back issues.
