We are overly sensitive people by nature, so asking the wrong questions or trying to raise awareness about tragic events, are likely to put you in the line of fire of those you may offend.
Shaquille O’Neal is being painted as a ‘9/11 Truther’ after his website and Facebook page asked readers to “take a closer look” into whether the 2001 terrorist attacks were “an inside job.”
The Facebook post and the blog post were deleted, leading to the next question — was the Diesel hacked or are those his true feelings?
We’re all entitled to our opinion, but alleging that someone or a group other than Osama Bin Laden pulled off those attacks, will definitely draw the ire of victims, their families and those who believe or know that we were victim of a terrorist attack.
UPDATE:
O’Neal has released a statement apologizing for the 9/11 post:
This post was insulting and offensive, and I apologize to everyone who came across it. Once I learned that it was on my Facebook page and blog, I ordered it removed and fired the firm that posted it. I am not and never have been a “9/11 truther.’’ My father served our country and I am immensely proud of the sacrifices people make daily to keep us safe. The events of 9/11 were a horrible tragedy for our nation and it’s a disgrace that anyone would think otherwise.
