Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris is a huge Lakers fan, but he’s terribly disappointed in how things have gone during free agency.
After falling flat in their presentation to prized free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, Harris is angry.
“They’re doing terrible man,” Harris told The Jim Rome Show. “I definitely wanted Okafor, you can’t pass up big 7 footers like him. I’ll be satisfied with Russell, I think he’s a dynamic point guard so I think that will be good. We just can’t get no free agents, that’s something that I wanted, I wanted definitely to get Aldridge but it’s not looking like we can get any free agents.”
Harris, like everyone else these days, blamed it on Kobe.
“I’m like the biggest Kobe fan ever, it just seems like nobody wants to play with Kobe,” said Harris. “They don’t want to play there, they don’t think we’re a contender and a lot of people I think they fear the West man, the West is so deep and they just don’t think the Lakers are a playoff team so they would rather go somewhere else. It’s just sad to see my man Kobe go out like this.”
Harris should worry about the Broncos trying to trade his quarterback, but I feel his pain.
