You could call this a hot streak.
Clayton Kershaw dominated the regular season last year, posting a 21-3 record; but what he’s accomplished this year already has surpassed any “wow” factor for those who can appreciate stats.
Kershaw has been electric over his last three outings, becoming the first pitcher since 1900 with three straight starts allowing no runs, walking none, and claiming at least 10 strikeouts in each appearance.
Even if you don’t appreciate stats, which is fine, you have to love the fact that this man just did something no pitcher has done in over a hundred years. When you think about it, a generation doesn’t even last a hundred years; some of our grandfathers never even got to see this feat.
Tip of the cap to Kershaw, once again.
Now lets see if he can finally remain his dominant self in the playoffs. Otherwise he’ll risk forever being remembered in history as the bittersweet ace.
