Damien Lillard received his $129 Million contract extension and now Lillard is focused on convincing his All-Star PF to resign with the team. USA Today brings the details on Lillard decision to meet with Aldridge.
Agent for Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard, Aaron Goodwin, told USA TODAY Sports that his client is planning an impromptu visit to Los Angeles to try and convince his former teammate to stay. Lillard, who finalized a five-year extension worth between $125 and $129 million on Thursday, just returned from a promotional trip in Paris. The relationship between those two players has been a focal point of Aldridge’s possible departure from Portland.
It’s being reported that Aldridge wants to make this decision based on basketball. Portland was a number 4 seed and won the Northwest division last season. Maybe Lillard meeting will be enough to convince Aldridge to not give up on the franchise.
We've built something great in #RipCity… Would love to continue that playing along side @aldridge_12 … Sure our team feels the same!
