Jason Pierre-Paul is reportedly getting his own medical care and rehab in South Florida after the July 4 fireworks accident that cost him his right index finger — and it has his employer confused.
According to the New York Daily News, the Giants believe Pierre-Paul is going about things the wrong way.
John Mara, the Giants co-owner, has “no idea’’ when Jason Pierre-Paul will report to training camp, nor can he give an update on his playing future, because he doesn’t know how many fingers Pierre-Paul has.
John Mara on JPP: "We don’t know how extensive the damage is. That’s the problem. I don’t know how many fingers he has."

JPP had to have his right index finger amputated – the knuckle removed and he suffered fractures to his right thumb and severe burns that required skin grafts.
