Ed Werder is reporting that injured New York Giants star, Jason Pierre-Paul, will not sign his franchise tender with the team, until he’s confident he can play and pass a physical.

The Giants had been expected to place their standout defensive end on the non-football injury list until he gets healthy — a move that would give the team full control over whether or not he misses regular-season games and whether or not he gets paid for games he might miss.
