The Philadelphia 76ers appear to be right on schedule according to the legendary Julius Erving.
Dr. J reports that he was told by the 76ers ownership group 2012, that the organization was on a seven-year timeline for success.
Per the Philly Inquirer (via Sirius XM NBA Radio):
“Well when they acquired the team in 2012, maybe, I think the talk was about seven years. Seven years,” the Sixers great told the radio show hosts. “So I think it’s still on that same timeline.”
When asked about possible playoff appearances, Erving said no.
“No. To be good,” he responded. “ To be good. To be formidable. To be a contender. That’s probably the 2018-19 [season], right?”
