This DeAndre Jordan fiasco wouldn’t be much without LeBron’s take, right?
Jokes were swirling that DeAndre Jordan’s decision was the “reverse decision” of LeBron James’ commitment to Miami. So, its only right to ask the man who’s familiar with making huge decisions, that impacts two teams, his thoughts on what transpired between the Clippers and the Mavs. LeBron James was on vacation with Chris Paul when the rumors started swirling that Jordan was having second thoughts. DeAndre had verbally committed to the Mavs, but he was soon having regrets as the July 9th date approached. No one knew why the thoughts to go back to the Clippers came about. The public assumed the drift between Paul and Jordan was getting unbearable and that Jordan wanted his opportunity to shine; It made sense. But when LeBron was with Paul, he felt his best friend holding something back, giving him the inkling that he knew Jordan was going to have a change of heart.
“I haven’t been on social media a lot lately, I kind of stayed away from it, but I heard [Jordan] committed to Dallas at one point, and I was telling Chris at the time ‘that’s a huge blow for you guys.’ … Then a couple days later, you know, while we’re still on vacation, they say he’s having a change of heart, and so I think Chris had a lot more information than he was giving us.”
“That’s my best friend, but I know he was holding back some information because he wanted to make sure that everything was going right for them and their team.”
Looks like best friends don’t share everything, even if he is LeBron James. Chris Paul is the leader of the Clippers and keeping his home happy is the most important thing because well, LeBron cant win that ring for him. Unless of course something freaky happens and they somehow end up on the same team… that can’t happen, right?
