Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart suffered an unfortunate fall during the second quarter against the Portland Trailblazers in an elimination game in the NBA Summer League tournament.
Smart fell and seem to dislocate two fingers in his right hand and didn’t return to the game to err on the side of caution.
A source close to Smart spoke with CSNNE.com on the injury.
“He should be okay” and added that initial tests have the Celtics “almost 100 percent sure nothing” is broken.
Here’s the video of the gruesome injury that Smart suffered scrambling for a loose ball with newly acquired Trailblazers forward Noah Vonleh.
