Could Trent Richardson really resurrect his career in the Oakland Raiders backfield?
According to Raiders offensive line coach Mike Tice, a “lighter and quicker” Trent Richardson is starting to come around.
“I thought the young man out of Alabama (Richardson) came on,” Tice told Sirius XM NFL Radio (via the Raiders’ official website). “He lost some weight, his quickness came around.”
Tice’s comments on Richardson are big because the running back hasn’t hit a hole with any purpose since he left Alabama.
According to the running back, the Indianapolis Colts had an issue with his weight last season, which in part led to his struggles on the field.
Richardson is likely on his last opportunity, and should have the chance to make the best of it.
