With a trade for Joe Johnson being to difficult to workout, the Cavs may turn their attention, and Brendan Haywood’s contract to the Clippers Jamal Crawford.

Given complexities of the Joe Johnson talks, sources say Cavs looking into the prospect of a simpler deal headlined by Crawford and Haywood

Terry Pluto of the Plain Dealer is reporting that Crawford is a much simpler option, just in case the Joe Johnson deal does turn out to be too complex.
. It’s very possible that General Manager David Griffin has better options for the $10.5 million Haywood contract. I’ve heard rumors about the Cavs and Jamal Crawford of the Clippers. Griffin would probably love to find a way to turn Haywood’s deal into a point guard and a wing player. So I’m not claiming the Johnson trade is extremely close.
I think either player gives the Cavs the backcourt depth that they’re searching for, with Crawford being explosive coming off the bench.
