Stephen A. first went on a Twitter rant then a radio rant about why politicians shouldn’t have to apologize for saying All Lives Matter and that Black Lives Matter is a distraction from the bigger problem of Black on Black Crime (you can listen to whole thing here).
Rapper Talib Kweli and many others tried to explain the Stephen A. the issue is much deeper and more complex that what he was making it out to be.

@stephenasmith also #BlackLivesMatter is a direct response to police brutality of POC. We should not say it because poor ppl commit crimes?

@stephenasmith 90% of blacks who kill other blacks get arrested & go to jail. Cops who kill unarmed … http://t.co/autB7ocaU1

(Unless all lives are not treated like they matter) RT @stephenasmith: There's nothing wrong when a candidate says "All lives Matter"!

@stephenasmith so I guess you show up at funerals and yell out "what's the big deal? Everyone dies!"
— Talib Kweli Greene (@TalibKweli) July 21, 2015
Simply put everyone should be treated equally, but we know that isn’t happening these days.
