Tom Cruise confirmed during the NYC screening of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation that he’s been campaigning to get a sequel to the sci-fi action flick of last summer, Edge of Tomorrow made.
Cruise confirmed he’s pitched the idea of a sequel to Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation screenwriter and director Christopher McQuarrie and even Emily Blunt, too.
“I pitched it to [“Rogue Nation” director and “Edge of Tomorrow” screenwriter Christopher] McQuarrie and [“Edge of Tomorrow” director] Doug [Liman]. We were there one night and I was like, I’ve got an idea for it,” he said.
“It could be so much fun,” he said. “Gotta get Emily. I was like Emily, please. She was like, ’give me another year, please.’”
It’s worth pointing out that the manga story that the plot is based off of ‘All You Need is Kill’ is also getting a sequel, so we should definitely hold out hope.
