Arian Foster will have groin surgery on Friday, and could miss the first ten weeks of the regular season. For team owner Bob McNair, the news isn’t surprising at all.
Foster missed time with a hamstring injury last year, and McNair has simply grown used to the “soft tissue injuries.”
McNair on Foster groin injury "Can't say I'm surprised. It seems like every year he's had a soft tissue injury. We keep our fingers crossed"

McNair "He (Foster) seems 2b vulnerable to those types of things. We believe he'll come back this season and help us."

It was less of a shot at Foster, and more of the owner acknowledging that his star running back struggles to stay healthy.
Foster is due $6.5 million next season, but it appears the owner may be preparing to move on.
