In one of the most underrated UFC main events of the year, Demetrius Johnson defends his title against the heavy handed John Dodson at UFC 191.
In their first title fight Dodson put Johnson on the canvas twice but ran out of gas during the championship rounds. This time Dodson is set on going 100% for all 5 rounds but the champion won’t just concede his title. Johnson has dominated the flyweight division in the UFC, he’s the only champion it’s had, and his performance against Dodson the first time gives fans little doubt that he could leave Saturday’s contest with his belt in hand.
It’s one of the most evenly matched title fights this year and is truly a toss up. Watch ‘Countdown to UFC 191: Johnson vs Dodson’ to see both fighters talk about the upcoming fight:
These two have the ability to top their first bout and put on a ‘Fight of the Year’ caliber performance. It may not be the names that casual UFC fans gravitate towards but these two have the resume and talent to headline a major UFC card.
