Well the dreams of a major fight landing at Jerry World were crushed again today. UFC President Dana White told UFC.com that plans for the mega-event to be held in Dallas were no more.
“To show you that Tito Ortiz has no idea what he’s talking about, we’re not even doing the fight in Dallas, Texas,” White said. “The fight is going to be in Las Vegas at the MGM. Just to show you that Tito is absolutely talking out of his ass.”
Dana had planend to have both Conor McGregor (vs Jose Aldo) and Ronda Rousey (vs Meisha Tate) on the UFC 194 card but no final announcement has been made yet.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens if those two stars end up headlining the event and what the ticket prices will look like in the relatively small MGM Grand Garden Arena?
We may have another Mayweather-Pacquiao ticket situation on our hands.
