At first you’d think Kevin Durant is just another of the growing legion of people who believe the NBA preseason isn’t necessary.
But he definitely makes a valid point about joint NFL practices possibly eliminating the need for four or any preseason football games at all.
With the joint practices in the NFL, is there any need for preseason games?

The NFL preseason allows for a four-week buildup to the regular season, but with joint practices going on around the league, its possible that the training camps could start a week or two later, before teams embark on a three-week training camp period that includes joint practices once a week, leading up to the NFL Kickoff game.
